AntiSpyware

Spyware, malware, adware, there are many names for the virus like software packages installed on computer systems during day to day activity. Some are marketing aids for third party commercial organizations, some track your computer usage and report your actions to their originator and some is written to steal passwords and other information and do harm to your system.

Windows computers are currently the primary target of spyware and antivirus software is generally not enough to protect you from these software packages as many do not fit within the definition of viruses. AntiSpyware, along with antivirus and a host based firewall are the final line of defense for the protection of computer operating systems and the information contained therein.
