e-Discovery

Overview

Identification, preservation and protection of electronic information pursuant to Federal civil litigation is mandated by Federal Rules of Civil Procedures (e-Discovery). Improper identification, preservation and protection can lead to sanctions being applied against the University as well as jeopardizing the University’s position in litigation. The UCSF community was notified about the requirements for compliance with e-Discovery rules via an email sent on February 13, 2007 from UCSF’s Chief Campus Counsel.
